Balanced Therapy offers in-person sessions in Cranford, NJ.

Virtual sessions are also available to clients living in New Jersey using a HIPAA compliant audio-video platform.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Balanced Therapy is currently in-network with Aetna and Cigna. Balanced Therapy uses Headway to handle all things billing. All clients who use insurance are required to have an active credit card on file with Headway and will be charged the day of session for all co-pays or missed appointments.

  • Is there a cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel 24 hours before the session. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show for session, there will be an $85 charge to the credit card on file.

  • What if Balanced Therapy is not in network with my insurance?

If we are not in network with your insurance, you can pay for sessions out of pocket and you can receive a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement based on your insurance benefits. If this applies to you, please read the information below related to your right to a ‘Good Faith Estimate’ —

    Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
